When you think of trucks, it’s easy to think big, but to our surprise, quite a number of interested parties inquired about Suzuki’s littlest commercial model, the Suzuki Carry.
Smaller than most, the little Carry is perfect for micro-scale businesses or logistics providers that need a small and compact commercial vehicle that can easily be driven to its destination. The Carry beat other offerings in the commercial vehicle space, even the likes of the legendary Mitsubishi L300 to name a few.
The most inquired-for truck in November 2022:
Suzuki launched the Carry not too long ago as an updated model with a new front fascia and an extremely accessible price tag. In fact, the Carry is cheaper than most passenger cars in the small hatchback segment, slotting just under the P500,000 mark for its cab and chassis variant. Like a truck, the vehicle’s capable of carrying quite a bit of load behind the cab, but unlike most commercial trucks, it’s powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 95 hp and 135 Nm of torque.
Even so, with Suzuki’s durability and knack for producing robust engines, going gasoline especially with current fuel prices in 2022 has a few incentives for most buyers, which is why we infer that this model’s gained quite a bit of traction according to our metrics.
Top 10 most inquired-for trucks in November 2022
1. Suzuki Carry
7. Volvo B8R LE
Looking at the list, we get a bunch of other models that comprise the top ten. Following the Carry, we have two dump trucks, one from Isuzu, and the other from Sinotruk HOWO, and both are dump trucks. Following that, a legendary model ends up in fourth place, the Mitsubishi L300. No introductions are needed for the white-bodied truck in the Philippines, and it held its own in our metrics over the course of November. The Traviz, another rival to the L300 made it to the 8th spot this time around.
Following that, it’s a bunch of cargo models from Isuzu, Fuso, and surprisingly, a Volvo bus. High-end trucks are interesting to see being inquired for, but it looks like Isuzu is definitely a big mainstay in the country because five out of ten places on the list are occupied by the Japanese brand.
