Fuso Philippines now ranks 3rd amongst all truck brands in the country according to the Truck Manufacturers’ Association. Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), the general distributor of FUSO and one of the primary commercial vehicle distributors of brand-new trucks and buses in the Philippines hailed as Rank 3 in terms of truck and bus sales performance.
Fuso is no stranger to this jump in rank as this is the second time for the Japanese brand to improve its sales ranking to 3rd in the TMA tally. The first time it hit third was back in March. Aside from this, Fuso showed a remarkable improvement from January to July in terms of its sales performance as it expanded by 26.2% compared to the previous year, while the industry growth showed 1% — this resulted in the improvement of FUSO’s market share to 11.4%.
Where Fuso Philippines had a great showing was in the Light-Duty Truck segment covering the 4.1 to 4.5 ton or Category 3 under the TMA segment. Fuso was able to garner a 22% market share in July which allow the brand to climb to the number two spot in the segment. Fuso says it was able to achieve this because of the consistent sales contribution of the Fuso Canter FE71 and the Fuso Canter FE73.
FUSO’s 3rd spot in the overall industry is a proof that the brand has established a relationship with our customers. It is a testimony that FUSO is committed to our promise of delivering high-quality and reliable products and services to our customers’ business needs. Aside from this, we thank our dealer partners and front liners for their efforts and dedication to living the brand’s core values.
With the number 3 spot secured, Fuso Philippines remains confident that it can achieve more sales milestones to expand its market presence in the industry. Through the company’s strategic plans and continuous dealer expansion, SFP is still on track to provide FUSO products to customers that radiate high-quality, sustainability, and best value for money.
