Hariphil Asia Resources Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai Commercial Vehicles in the Philippines ends 2022 with a 10% increase in bus sales. Main contributors to this growth is Hyundai’s best-selling County minibus and the Universe coach. On the other hand, Hyundai Modern PUV sales maintained a steady momentum with more than 250 units sold nationwide. According to Hari, the main driving force behind the growth in said segments is the massive return to commuting and inter-regional travel.
With the release of the County New Breeze minibus, expectations are high for 2023. The County, which is Hyundai’s best-selling shuttle for corporate, tourism, and school services has undergone important upgrades, focusing primarily on safety and seating capacity. The County New Breeze gets a redesigned interior. The seats are upholstered with modern PVC material which is durable and can endure the wear and tear of long journeys. Up front, the bus gets a digital climate control with simple, minimalistic dials that control and monitors the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system status.
The driver’s area also gets some upgrades. The County New Breeze has a redesigned crash pad, a new instrument cluster, and a new tilt-adjustable telescopic four-spoke steering wheel featuring button controls. Displaying vital information such as odometer readings, trip data, and other vehicle functions is a 3.5-inch Supervision LCD cluster that which gives digital precision and clarity. Drivers also have access to the vehicle’s audio system which include a radio, CD player, TV, driver speaker, aux input, and USB. Drivers also have a microphone nearby, handy for communicating with passengers.
The company is also expecting to log impressive numbers for its HD45 GT, a light-duty truck that boasts an impressive deck length of up to 18 feet and its exclusion from the Truck Ban due to to its light weight.
