FUSO eCanter trucks boost sustainable and efficient urban deliveries in Spain.

Planway Logística has introduced 22 FUSO eCanter electric trucks into its fleet to help with urban deliveries for Correos, Spain’s postal service provider. These trucks are specifically made for highway routes, having both the compact size and efficiency to manage tight streets and busy delivery schedules without hassle.

The FUSO eCanter is an 8.55-ton truck powered by a 129 kW electric motor and an L-size battery pack. It offers a range of up to 200 kilometers per charge, making it a good truck for urban deliveries. With a load capacity that fits up to 15 euro-pallets, it makes sure efficient cargo handling while meeting delivery demands.

One of the best features of the eCanter is its maneuverability. It has the smallest turning circle in its class, allowing it to drive through tight areas. The design, along with its versatility and reliability, has made the FUSO Canter—a model the eCanter is based on—a trusted name in light trucks for over 60 years. More than 4.5 million units of the Canter have been produced worldwide. These specific eCanter trucks were built at the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck Europe plant in Tramagal, Portugal, which serves the European market. For other regions, including Asia, production is handled at the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation facility in Kawasaki, Japan.

Florian Schulz, Head of Sales, Marketing & Customer Services at FUSO Europe, shared that the eCanter’s ability to manage deliveries efficiently, with flexible charging and high payload capabilities, makes it an excellent choice for companies like Planway Logística. The decision to add 22 units also shows a strong sense of obligation to adopt cleaner and greener transport solutions for last-mile deliveries.

Electric trucks like the FUSO eCanter are showing how deliveries can be done in a cleaner way. While this rollout is happening in Spain, its small size, good range, and charging features show how it could work well in places like Manila.
