INTECO Philippines, one of the pioneer dealer partners of Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) in partnership with Women’s Business Council Philippines Inc. (WomenBizPH), officially handed over one Isuzu Ambulance unit as a donation to Likhaan Center for Women’s Health last February 16, 2023. This particular ambulance unit is based on the Isuzu N-Series of light-duty trucks.
The turnover event held at the Isuzu Quezon Ave. dealer showroom was headed by Philippine Senator and staunch women’s rights advocate - Risa Hontiveros, Likhaan Center for Women’s Health Chairman of the Board – Dr. Guy Claudio, WomenBizPH Chairperson – Mylene Abiva, IPC Vice president for Sales Division – Yasuhiko Oyama, INTECO President & CEO – Raymond Jarina, and Isuzu Quezon Ave. Branch Manager – Ranvin Jarina. Joining the guests are several dignitaries and people directly involved in the project.
The Likhaan Center for Women’s Health is a non-government organization (NGO) aiming to achieve health and equality for women and poor, disadvantaged groups. They work with women and the youth in underprivileged groups in empowering them to recognize and claim their rights to sexual and reproductive health.
To attain this goal, the Likhaan Center for Women’s Health runs several programs with this advocacy in mind, these include, running community-based health clinics and providing community education, organization, and mobilization in poverty-stricken communities.
Meanwhile, INTECO’s partner on this donation project, WomenBizPH is an advocacy group and as well as the lead private sector partner of the government composed of the country’s top women business leaders and entrepreneurs. They are the leading voice of women in commerce, in addition to inspiring and empowering women in the Philippines, they also serve as a platform to discuss women’s issues in business and government policies. In partnership with WomenBizPH, INTECO provided assistance to Likhaan by donating an Isuzu Ambulance unit, a vehicle that will be able to support Likhaan’s continuous program and advocacy in promoting health care for underprivileged youth and women.

The brand-new Isuzu Ambulance donated to Likhaan is designed by Anos Research Manufacturing to comply with the Department of Health’s (DOH) standard. Fitted with all the necessary equipment an ambulance needs, this Likhaan’s new Isuzu ambulance stands at the ready to support Filipinas all over the country.
