Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), through its Isuzu Manila dealership, has handed over 10 new Isuzu NLR77 Class 2 Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) to the Lungsod Silangan Transport Service and Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LSTSMPC). These PUVs will serve passengers traveling between Cogeo and Cubao, giving them a modern and comfortable ride.
With these new vehicles, LSTSMPC now operates a total of 111 modern PUVs, making it one of the biggest transport operators in Antipolo City. The Isuzu NLR77 runs on a 4JH1-TC Blue Power Diesel engine, producing 106 PS and 230 Nm of torque. The engine is fuel-efficient and strong enough to carry heavy loads and many passengers.
The new PUVs follow the Philippine National Standard (PNS) guidelines. They feature a Class 2 body designed by CENTRO Manufacturing, air-conditioning from Country Cool, and an Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS) powered by BEEP. These features make the ride more convenient and comfortable for passengers.
LSTSMPC General Manager Arcadio Inso shared that they have chosen Isuzu because of the trust it has considering the strong aftersales support the company has. The financing for these vehicles was managed by Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC), which shows how transport groups like LSTSMPC are working with commercial banks to expand their fleets.
