At the 2024 Land Transportation Office (LTO) Motor Show, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) took the opportunity to reveal its latest public utility vehicle, the NLR77 PUV Class 2. The event, which celebrated LTO's 112th Founding Anniversary, was an ideal platform to show off advancements in electric vehicles and modernized public utility vehicles, and IPC was right in the mix, supporting the Department of Transportation’s PUV Modernization Program.
The newly introduced Isuzu PUV Class 2 is built on the sturdy N-Series light-duty truck platform and prepared to meet the increasing need for sustainable and efficient public transport solutions. The vehicle is impressive for its spacious interior, which includes side-facing seats and large windows, aiming to improve passenger comfort. It also features an electronic folding door to make it easier for passengers to get on and off the vehicle.
IPC has equipped the Isuzu PUV Class 2 with modern technology such as GPS, an Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS), onboard monitors, CCTV, and digital signboards. These features are in line with the Philippine National Standards (PNS) Guidelines for Class 2 type PUVs, making sure that both passengers and drivers get high levels of safety and efficiency.
