The Foton Tornado 3.6 EV incorporates advanced electric vehicle (EV) technology commonly found in electric passenger cars. Its impressive features include a permanent-magnet synchronous motor that delivers an impressive peak power output of 154 hp and 300 Nm of torque. These specifications enable the electric truck to accelerate from zero to 50 km/h in just nine seconds while achieving a top speed of 90 km/h.
When it comes to range, the Foton Tornado 3.6 EV offers a substantial driving distance on a full charge, covering approximately 208 km based on the global WLTP standards. To replenish the battery, users have the convenience of using either an AC or DC charger. Charging times vary, with the DC charger taking two to four hours to reach a full charge from 20 percent capacity, while the AC charger requires approximately 12 hours for the same charging progress.
Weighing in with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 6,000 kilograms, the Tornado 3.6 EV Truck has an impressive payload capacity of 3,600 kilograms, while maintaining a curb weight of 2,400 kilograms. The EV Tornado’s dimensions measure 5,960 mm long, 1,925 wide, and stand 2,260 mm tall, in addition, it features a wheelbase of 3,360 mm.
Aside from the all-electric internals, the Tornado EV is still a familiar truck inside, the truck’s creature comforts include an air conditioning system for optimal comfort, a multimedia audio system for entertainment, and an adjustable steering wheel for personalized convenience. Additionally, power windows and central locking with a remote key add convenience and security.
