Up-and-coming logistics company Mober is thrilled to introduce its cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) charging hub in Pasay City. Mober’s charging hub is equipped with the latest OCPP 7-kilowatt chargers, compatible with both type 2 and GB/T standards. These chargers ensure swift charging sessions, guaranteeing the seamless operation of Mober's exclusive EV fleet designated for IKEA. Mober has invested P2-million in the construction of this advanced charging station.
The new facility is located just 1.5 kilometers away from IKEA Pasay, this modern 800-square-meter facility stands as a testament to Mober's steadfast commitment to a sustainable future, positioning the company at the forefront of environmentally-friendly logistics in Southeast Asia.
Regarding the choice of seven-kilowatt chargers, Mober CEO Dennis NG explained, "Our decision to choose this charging capacity was strategic, considering that our EV fleet remains inactive during nighttime hours. This allows for optimal charging without putting undue strain on the grid."
Furthermore, he revealed plans to introduce more powerful 22-kilowatt chargers, as well as a variety of DC chargers at upcoming charging locations in Cavite, Laguna, and Bulacan. This move will effectively expand Mober’s services to other parts of the country.
“This inauguration symbolizes not just a milestone but a beacon of our overarching blueprint for an environmentally-conscious logistic framework. And, we're just getting started.”
In addition to its infrastructure innovations, Mober's distinctive partnership approach offers an unparalleled advantage to businesses, enabling them to adopt eco-friendly delivery operations without any initial expenses. This inclusive collaboration is instrumental in encouraging a greater number of companies to adopt sustainable logistics practices, solidifying Mober's position as a transformative force in the industry. After all, it is incredibly expensive to make a snap fleet transition from gasoline-powered vehicles to EVs.
Thanks to its fleet of EVs, prominent retail giants, including IKEA Philippines, SM Appliance Center, Nestle Philippines, and Nespresso are now on the move to shift to greener mobility.
