The Dongfeng Captain E series is an affordable yet powerful range of light-duty commercial vehicles. It comes in different body configurations such as the Dropside Body, Dropside with Crane, Multi-Purpose Van, and Refrigerated Van. Depending on the variant, the trucks can be had in overall body lengths of 10 to 14 feet.
This entry-level commercial truck is powered by a 2.8-liter Isuzu-derived Euro IV diesel engine that puts out 113 hp and 260 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. For safety, seat belts come as a standard while braking power comes from dual-circuit with vacuum assist and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). In terms of suspension, the Captain E series features steel leaf springs with hydraulic double-acting telescopic shock absorbers.
Inside the Dongfeng Captain E is a manual air conditioning unit for comfort and a single-din audio system for entertainment that can be found at the center console. Other notable features include power steering, power window, and keyless entry.
