In 2018, Hino Motors Philippines (HMP) launched its Euro IV-powered product lineup which includes the Japanese brand's 500 Truck Series. The Hino 500 Series are medium-duty trucks that are developed to provide a more powerful driving experience, along with advanced technologies. With these 6-wheeler and 10-wheeler trucks, HMP intends to provide quality transport and flexible body application capability.
The Hino 500 Series GH8J F7D Dump Truck is available in a 6-wheeler, 4x2 configuration powered by a 7.684-liter turbocharged diesel engine paired with a 9-speed synchromesh manual transmission, producing 276 hp and 824 Nm of torque. Stopping power for this cargo truck is provided by front and rear air brakes. Its gross vehicle weight is 18,600 kgs and its wheelbase is 3,730 mm.
As for ride and comfort, the 500 Series GH8J F7D has semi-elliptic leaf springs with shock absorbers for the front and semi-elliptic leaf springs for the rear. It also comes standard with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and an air conditioning system. This dump truck can be modified in accordance with the customer’s specifications.
